Adam C. Brown, Esq.
Mr. Brown received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at Greensboro College, 2011. As an intern for Congresswoman Nydia M. Velazquez (D-New York, 7th District) in the Financial Services Committee of the United State House of Representatives, Mr. Brown saw firsthand how the law changed the country after the Great Recession. As a New Jersey native pursuing a Juris Doctorate at Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey felt natural.
During law school Mr. Brown distinguished himself as the Tax Law Society President, and learned how to represent clients before the United States Tax Court as a Tax Clinic associate. While still in law school, Mr. Brown worked as an Intern for Mitchell & Titus LLP, New York where he cut his teeth in a private tax practice, preparing tax returns and strategies for partnerships, corporations, individuals, and nonprofits.
After law school, Mr. Brown served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. James R. Paganelli, J.S.C. in the Chancery Division, Family Part in Essex County. During his clerkship Mr. Brown saw the impact of how family law changed the dynamics of households throughout our community. The clerkship proved to be invaluable as Mr. Brown took his knowledge to the streets of Newark, New Jersey by embarking on a fellowship with the Rutgers Law Associates. As a Rutgers Law Fellow Mr. Brown organized non-profit for grassroot companies, worked with organizations such as the Newark Community Street Team (“NCST”) and assisted ex-offenders with legal issues to reduce recidivism.
